Hungarian Ball
One of the most prominent events for the Hungarian community in the Boston area is the biennial Hungarian Ball. The Hungarian Ball is a milestone for graduating Hungarian high school students, who perform two special dances in pairs: an elegant waltz and a dance of their choice taught by a dedicated dance teacher from the local community. For adults and parents, it is an unforgettable, elegant evening, with live music, a quality dinner, and valuable items from a raffle and silent auction. The Hungarian Scouts alternate hosting the Ball with the Hungarian school, Boskola, so every fourth year the Scout troop takes on the full responsibility of hosting the Ball. All proceeds from the event support the operations of Gábor Bodnár Boy Scout Troop No. 2. The donations collected fund camps, travel and catering costs, and leadership training programs.
