The Hungarian Society of Massachusetts is a community of individuals with Hungarian origins and those interested in Hungarian culture, independent of political or religious affiliations. Members support the Society and participate in its activities according to their talents, possibilities, and interests.
The purpose of the Hungarian Society of Massachusetts (HSM) is to nurture and pass on Hungarian language, culture, identity and traditions to the next generation and anyone interested, by organizing or supporting cultural programs, events, and gatherings.
Our further goal is to introduce Hungarian culture to the broadest possible segment of the American population and thereby develop and strengthen American-Hungarian relations.
Our Society is a non-profit organization that deliberately keeps itself away from party politics. Regardless of worldview, religion, or origin, anyone can become a member who wants to cultivate the Hungarian language and culture and accepts the Society's bylaws. According to our bylaws, a Society member is considered to be someone who pays the annual membership fee.
