We look forward to welcoming you to the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton on Sunday, March 22nd at 4:00 PM for a Short Film Festival with film producer András Muhi. The seven short films will be screened with English subtitles, so feel free to bring your non-Hungarian speaking family and friends!

About the event
Our guest is András Muhi, a film producer from Hungary, a defining figure of contemporary Hungarian cinema and the president of the Association of Hungarian Film Artists. He has been involved in the creation of more than 250 films, many of which have won prestigious awards. As a producer, his name is associated with outstanding works such as On Body and Soul by Ildikó Enyedi (Golden Bear Award, Academy Award nomination) and Just the Wind by Bence Fliegauf (Silver Bear Award).
Since 2014, he has been a producer at FocusFox, and since 2024 he has served as president of the Association of Hungarian Film Artists. In 2025, after a 13-year hiatus, the highly successful 44th Hungarian Film Week was relaunched at his initiative and under his direction, attracting 382 film submissions. He has received numerous Hungarian and international film awards and has been a member of the European Film Academy since 2007.
