Borbála Máhr
Communications Lead, Boskola Representative
I was born and raised in Székesfehérvár. I first arrived in the United States in 2009 as a university student, and after a few detours across continents (Germany and Colorado), my husband, my young son, and I moved to Boston in 2020. We chose Massachusetts in no small part because we knew there was a significant Hungarian community in the area with an active social life, which we wanted to be a part of.
We have found a home in this community: I have been working as a preschool teacher at Boskola since 2022, and along with the rest of my family, we are active participants in scouting and the events of the Hungarian Science and Hiking Clubs. Over the years, we have supported various events organized by the Society in different ways. I joined the board of the Hungarian Society of Massachusetts as a Boskola Representative, and I am now the Communications Lead. In my professional life, I work at a university as an institutional research analyst and instructor.
