Gyöngyi Molnár
Candidate
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Debrecen (DOTE). After exploring opportunities both at home and abroad, my husband and I arrived to Boston in the early 1990s. I began my career as a postdoctoral fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and continued as a researcher in the pharmaceutical industry, after obtaining my PhD. Decades of work in biotech and pharma, I retired few years ago. I currently devote my time to my hobbies: music, sports, good books, and thought-provoking studies.
We joined the Hungarian Society shortly after our arrival. It is true that we were quiet participants in most events, but it was still a joy to see the changes and renewal taking place in the Society. Over the decades, we have received a lot from the community: new friends, great cultural and entertainment events, and a sense of belonging. I feel that now is the time to give something back. This is the motivation behind my candidacy for the board.
In this role, I would like to help in the community's well-established traditional events and implement new initiatives and ideas that are essential for keeping the Society fresh and viable.
Thank you for the trust of this community.
